A self-study exercise. Take an XAUUSD H1 or H4 chart, scroll back, and for 10 random points do the following without looking at the future:
- Mark the trend (HH-HL / LH-LL / flat).
- Mark the nearest support & resistance.
- Identify the candle pattern at that point (if any).
- Write down: is this pattern in the direction of the trend and located at a level? Yes/No.
- Write a hypothetical scenario: entry, stop, and target in R.
- Only then scroll forward and assess whether your logic was consistent (not just "right/wrong").
Repeat this regularly. The goal is to train your reading process, not to find a pattern that always wins.
